Lets bomb some people”
Read more, uh,"hilarious" excerpts on Wonkette Most of the comments seem to peg Bryan Frist as very, very gay. He is, after all, pictured in flannel with a cowboy hat and shades!

And The Winner Is:
The Daily News reported that "Katharine (Kerry) Close, an eighth-grader at the H.W. Mountz School in Spring Lake on the Jersey Shore, outspelled 274 other kids, rattling off "Urspache" to win the 2006 Scripps National Spelling Bee."
Unfortunately, The Daily News misspelled Urspache. It's Ursprache.

Feelin' Blue
Sorry to be so contemplative and brief these days, dear friends. Haditha's got me down. This war's Mai Lai incident, the killings in Haditha horrify me not only because they happened, not only because we didn't hear about them for over 6 months, but most of all because it brings into searing clarity the fact that we're all watching exactly what we feared would happen, happen. It's called a Cassandra Complex, and it just hurts like hell that so many PEOPLE suffered the multitudinous effects of the Vietnam War, and we still couldn't stop the Iraq War from turning into another goddamn mess of broken humanity and fruitless warmongering. And Bush hasen't even extended an APOLOGY from the AMERICAN PEOPLE. And I am fucking sorry. Sorry for the Iraqis, sorry for the soldiers whose psyches snapped, sorry, sorry, sorry.
