Breakdown: Quarterly

Every 4 months, Baldwin brother Daniel has an "event"! See below:

Actor Daniel Baldwin was back behind bars on Tuesday after allegedly stealing a car. The star was arrested in Santa Monica, California after police found him behind the wheel of a car reported stolen in Orange County, California. According to police reports, obtained by news website Tmz.com, police tracked the car to a motel and spotted Baldwin getting inside. Baldwin was then arrested and charged with grand theft auto. The actor was also booked on charges of possessing illegal drugs after police conducted a search of his motel room and allegedly found a stash of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. This isn't the first time Baldwin has found himself in police custody - in April he was arrested at another Santa Monica hotel after police were called following a fight, in which the actor reportedly threatened a woman. The authorities allegedly found cocaine in Baldwin's possession. That case is pending. In July, Baldwin hit the headlines again after crashing his car into two parked cars at high speed. Cops observed the 45-year-old, who had a suspended license, driving his rented Ford Thunderbird in excess of 80 miles-per-hour through traffic before running a red light and crashing. Baldwin, who was examined in hospital after complaining of neck and back pains, was held for questioning but not arrested.

Shooting Star

Apparently Barbara Walters is completed miffed and outraged that Star Jones announced during a live broadcast that she was quitting The View. For those of you who have not been following this insipid morsel of gossip, a lot of bruhaha has been bubbling now that Rosie O'Donnell has signed on to take Meredith Viera's vacant seat. Rumor has it that there just ain't enough room to fit the brash egos of both Star and Rosie. Personally, I think they're both just awful and its pretty sad to realize that either of them serve as a mirror to the demographic they pander to. Yuck. Babs used the word "betrayed" to describe how she felt when Star revealed the news because apparently, she "loves" Star? What am I missing here?

Penny Ante

Kevin Federline has a new cause: saving the penny. Britney Spears’ hubby, along with Virgin Records chairman Richard Branson and director Matthew Eggers will “unite to reinvigorate the purpose of the penny in face of its possible legislative elimination,” according to an announcement. The three will appear in Times Square at mid-day on Wednesday and be among the first to “to sign the ‘Save the Penny’ petition to be presented to lawmakers in Washington D.C.” -The SCOOP

Federline really is making a mythic mess out of himself. "Save the Penny" ought to read "Federline, Save Your Pennies." Especially funny is the fact that it actually costs 1.5 cents to make a penny, so we the people lose one-half cent for every penny minted. Ten pennies costs fifteen cents, 1000 pennies costs $15. 1,000,000 pennies costs $15,000. Kevin Federline costs Britney even more...

Why do we care?

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Pop princess Britney Spears, whose marriage and parenting skills are under a media microscope, tearfully admitted being "an emotional wreck" in excerpts of an interview aired on Thursday.

Intermittently weeping and chewing gum throughout, Spears denied she is estranged from her husband, Kevin Federline, saying on NBC's "Today" show that Federline is helping her weather the hormonal ups and downs of her second pregnancy.

"He helps me. He has to. I'm an emotional wreck right now," Spears said. "Not in a bad way. Just, just, you know, I'll start laughing hysterically and then I'll just start crying, like just because ... . It's my hormones.

She called paparazzi images of her driving with her infant son, Sean Preston, on her lap "cheap shots" and said that as a small child, she sat in her father's lap as he drove.

Spears said she has wept on occasion over allegations that she is a bad mother, and wished only that paparazzi would leave her alone.

"You have to realize that we're people and that we need, we just need privacy and we need our respect," she said. "And those are things that you have to have as a human being."

Apparently, I am just as guilty as the rest of our inane country for posting this news-less, insipid blurb. What is wrong with me? The only thing that separates Britney from the millions of sheep across our country is her big fat bank account. She said it herself, "we're people"...she ain't that interesting, y'all....

Lindsay and Her Nose

Lindsay Lohan infuriated Vogue editor Anna Wintour at the Council Of Fashion Designers Of America (CFDA) awards last Monday - because she made too many trips to the toilet. The Mean Girls star, who arrived with Chanel boss Karl Lagerfeld, was a guest of Wintour at the bash. But after her lavatorial antics, the fashionista insists she will never associate with her again. An insider tells PageSix.com, "She got up to use the bathroom to powder her nose six times in two hours. Wintour leaned over and whispered to a Vogue staffer: 'Tell her, if she gets up one more time, she will never be invited to one of my events again.' Lohan's date, Karl Lagerfeld, was then told, 'Karl, this is your guest, control her!'" -IMDB

Ohhhh, you do NOT want to be on Wintour's bad side. This is delicious, really delicious. I can't wait for Lohan to respond. My prediction: Lohan is going down, battered to death by Wintour's sharp tongue and big sunglasses.

This is especially funny, as just last week Lohan was reportedly talking up the Paris fashion boutique she wants to open. C'est la vie...

The Babies, The Babies

Oh how I love me some Woody Harrelson. Wife Laurie just gave birth to their third daughter, and Woody crows "In this crazy patriarchal world we live in, we are doing our part to balance the energy. We are proud to announce the completion of our goddess trilogy with the birth of our third daughter, Makani Ravello, born on June 3rd," the couple said in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE. Really Cool.

They happen to be Taoist sex practitioners, too, which really gets my stamp of approval. I'm not an expert at the practices, but have dabbled; two years ago, hubby and I conceived on our very first try, and our son was born on the day I had hoped, 10 days before his due-date. Really, really cool.

And on one final baby note, I did peek at the first pic of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt. And she IS cute. I just hope she isn't crazy. Cute will get you far in this world, but crazy can be a real albatross...

Thus Flow The Words

Poem from Britney Spear's website:

“No more chains/ That you gave me/ Enough of pain/ Manipulation is the key,” read the poem in part. “They screw it in/ Because you’re naïve/You come to me now/ Why do you bother?/ Remember the Bible/ The sins of the father/ What you do/ You pass down/ No wonder why/ I lost my crown/ You don’t see me now/ You ask yourself why my crown is back/ And it’s way too high/ For you to be in my presence/ Especially my son/ You should bow down/ I’ve only just begun.”

Well it ain't Shakespeare, but it's good to know Britney isn't in total denial. Brit's website has now taken down the poem, but it's posted on The Scoop.

Please tell me this is a LIE!

From the NY Post:

May 25, 2006 -- "When I was 10 years old, we'd pick out a cow and boom! They'd hit it in the head with a hammer, lift it up by the back legs, and skin it in front of us. Then I'd take the head home and make soup" - Wilmer Valderrama on life before "That '70s Show" in Maxim.

I don't care if this is his attempt to claim he grew-up living off the land because his cavalier attitude and total disregard for life is disgusting. This guys seems to just be digging his hole deeper and deeper. Now, not only does most of the female population think he's scum, pet owners and animal lovers think so too. I'm not preaching vegeatrianism here at all kids, but there is a humane way to kill animals for food and an unspoken understanding to be grateful and respectful....just ask the Native Americans who lived off the land and specifically the buffalo for hundreds of years while ensuring never to abuse the delicate balance of the natural world.

UN-happy ending

From the NY Post:

May 25, 2006 -- THE British sex scandal that tarred Kevin Costner - a masseuse claims the actor pleasured himself during a massage while on his honeymoon - may have taken its toll on the star's marriage. According to Us Weekly, Costner's wife of less than two years, Christine Baumgartner, is furious and is now living separately. The mag says Costner told Baumgartner he would do anything to save his marriage. A rep for the couple denies friction. There could be another reason the two are living apart - they recently sold their Hollywood home for a bigger one in Santa Barbara, and Baumgartner is overseeing the move while Costner films a movie in Louisiana.
